JDA has been servicing the Indonesian Oil & Gas, Mining, Manufacturing and Construction industry for 20 years. As a result of the decision to strengthen JDA's presence in Indonesia, JDA-Indonesia is now strongly represented in Indonesia with offices in Jakarta, Balikpapan, Tembagapura and Batu Hijau.

Our client, a multinational mining company located in Sumatra is seeking a:

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
Reporting to the Project Director, the Manager Human Resources will lead the company s Human Resources Department to achieve strategic and business goals, within lime, cost quality and safely parameters, to contribute to the corporate creed/vision, to facilitate business improvements and to satisfy client needs. The incumbent wit be initially based in Jakarta during the mine development stage end then work on a fly in / fly out roster to the mine site.

The key roles and accountabilities include:
• Initiate and develop the HR Department s strategic end annual business plans to determine key priorities consistent with the Company s corporate goals and than monitor and review the Department s performance to assess achievements within safety, quality, time and cost parameters;
• Provide human resources strategic planning, support, advice and leadership to the Company;
• Develop, maintain and adjust the Departments organization structure and services to meat customers and stakeholders needs;
• Understand the needs and aspirations of line management, employees and their families, and employee representatives and manage those needs in line with the Company s interests and the principles of mining industry best HR practice;
• Maintain an effective and ethical relationship with all levels of Government in respect of human resources matters, particularly with regards to compliance with labor law, regulations end reporting requirements; and
• Keep abreast of human resources trends and mining industry best HR practice.

The Requirement
• Tertiary qualifications, preferably in the Humanities and/or Commercial disciplines with fluency in both written and spoken English;
• 10- 15 years of proven track record at executive management levels in the human resources function at both national and International level;
• Strategic planning end operations management skills to establish end achieve long term goals as well as meet immediate business performance targets;
• Strong and affective leadership;
• Sound negotiation & problem solving skills,
